Green Runs

I recently went snowboarding for the first time in more than 10 years.

I wasn’t even sure I’d be able to make it off the chairlift let make it down the mountain.

Thankfully, I wasn’t alone.

The entire weekend, people were falling over left, right and center.

I can’t actually remember another environment I’ve been in where its so acceptable, so normal, to make mistakes.

It was like there was an unwritten acknowledgement by everyone on the mountain: “We get it, this isn’t anyone’s normal territory, we’ve all been beginners at some point. Its OK.”

Similarly, our Connection Economy, in the scheme of things, is *still* relatively new.

Enjoy being on the digital ‘Green Run’.

Try things. Fall. Fail. Get up. Laugh. Learn. Have fun. Go again.

Don’t stop trying after your first fall.

Don’t compare yourself to those able to do Black Runs.

You’re not alone. We were all beginners at some point. Its OK.

The only mistake would be to stop trying.

Try if you fail, but never fail to try.
