Why?

As kids we annoyed everyone with one word (apart from ‘no’!) that we used to say over and over again: Why?

It was annoying not just because we would ask it all the time, but that your answer to our first why was simply not good enough.

We had to go *at least* three why’s deep, no matter the topic …

“Why?”
“Yes but Why?”
“Yeah but really Why?”

Somehow when we grew up, we learned to settle on the first why and not delve any deeper.

Something as simple and childlike as constantly asking three why’s might be the key that separates good from great.

Ask and keep asking.
