Similar Audiences refers to the audiences automatically generated inside the Adwords platform from Audiences you have previously defined that contain 5,000+ cookies. These are a fantastic way to expand the reach of your message to new people who share similar characteristics to those who you already know.
Similar Audience targeting leans on Google’s enormous cookie database to find users (ie. cookies) that demonstrate similar characteristics to the cookies found in your seed (5,000+ member) Audiences.
- Similar Audiences typically represent the middle of the Display Network funnel.
- The best Similar Audiences will be seeded from audiences that contain a tight, correlation – for example, Similar to ‘High Lifetime Customer Value Purchasers’ will make a better Similar Audience to target, than Similar to ‘All Website Visitors’.
