AMA

The front page of the internet has been in disarray in the last month, much of which has been the backlash over the firing of Victoria Taylor.

Victoria Taylor was the queen of AMA, Ask Me Anything, having hosted over 2500 AMA guests, including Barack Obama.

The fact that the AMA format has been so popular, and that Victoria Taylor’s firing has had such an uproar is a telltale symptom of the rising Connection Economy. With no question out of bounds, the AMA is a place where followers purposefully go so that they can get beneath guests’ public persona to connect on a more personal, more human level.

Any brand strategy for our Connection Economy could do a lot worse than include an AMA.

ps. All the best on your next role, Victoria!
